Description

This short course is the third part of the Toddler development bundle. It is designed to help professionals to understand how toddler relationships develop, and how relationships are essential to toddler development, it also covers the development of toddlers’ emotions and emotional regulation. It forms part of the Toddler, sleep, feeding and play specialist consultant training pathways.

This short course includes the lessons:

  • Attachment styles in toddlers
  • Social modelling with toddlers
  • Social development norms in toddlers
  • Emotional development in toddlers

Prerequisites: It is essential to have a good understanding of modelling and attachment theories as presented in Introduction to developmental psychology on which we build heavily. We also suggest having completed the Toddler physical development free short course, and Toddler neurological development short course from the Toddler development bundle.

Relevant learning: The following courses work with this course and those listed above to help you understand the experience, needs and behaviour of toddlers. You can complete them in your preferred order.
