The developing baby course

Our 6 week course provides a a safe space to meet other parents, express your feelings and concerns and to be heard. You will also gain an invaluable understanding of your baby, ways to support their brain development, sleep, eating, and, most importantly, ways to build and strengthen a calmer relationship that will last a lifetime!

A comprehensive course

We will help you understand:

Your own personal goals for your relationship
Ways to communicate with babies before they can speak
Infant physical and neuropsychological development
The principles of calming
Why babies cry and how to calm them
Why babies sleep the way they do and how you and your baby can get more sleep
Feeding and weaning, with practical ideas
Carrying and handling babies to optimise development and maintain calm, including using slings and carriers
Baby play and how it builds brains

This course is usually run over 6 weeks in two hour sessions. However, it may also be run over a weekend or in other formats.

Our consultants set their own prices so you will need to contact them for price details. Privately arranged groups and one-to-one consultation requests are very welcome.

Our developing baby course combines the experience of our excellently trained consultants and the knowledge of our development team to provide the ultimate overview to all areas of baby and parent life in the first year.

This course will help you to develop techniques to build calmer relationships and balance your needs as parents with meeting your baby’s needs. You will understand what is happening with your baby and be able to find your own solutions to issues that you encounter with your baby’s sleep, eating, feeding, play, and much, much more.

The only negative feedback we receive about this course is that it does not keep going forever!

We real evidence backed information about what it is like to be a baby and the developments they experience in their first year.

We help parents to develop practical tools to respond to any situation that arises in every area of life.

Parents develop the skills and formulate solutions, so they never become reliant on an ‘expert’. Instead they become confident in the knowledge that they are the expert in their baby and family!

This course gave me the confidence to interpret and understand the need behind my baby’s behaviour and helped me feel that I could be the best parent possible.

I felt reassured that what I was doing was okay and my baby's behaviour was normal. I found the sessions a little haven each week where I felt looked after and cared for.

This course helped me understand baby communication, busted myths around spoiling babies and other things that you hear/get told by people. We covered sleep, feeding and weaning, and so much more, and I feel really empowered about being a responsive parent!
